The 'Jet Repair Process' also known as Velocity Patching

The Genuine Jetpatcher Machine

Specialist Road Repair Machinery

Jetpatcher's road repair machines are fully self contained and carry all the necessary equipment and materials to repair road defects in rural and urban areas. The process is carried out by a team of 2 – driver and operator.

USES

Velocity Patching process is an excellent repair process
for rural and urban roads.

The process is suitable for repairs including:

●  Potholes – preventative, programmed and emergency
●  Pre surface dressing patching
●  Edge deterioration
●  Haunching
●  Sealing and extending the life of worn conventional repairs
●  Depressions
●  Cracking and crazing

● Repair material can be matched to existing surface
● No hot material required
● Suitable for repairing anti-skid
● Consistent ‘bottom up’ compaction superior to conventional
● No roller required
● Vehicle sizes 10 to 26 ton for rural and urban use
● Customised Vehicle Tracking and Reporting System (optional)

3 STEP PROCESS

1) High velocity air

2) Bitumen emulsion bond-coat

3) Bitumen emulsion and an approriate aggregate are mixed, then immediately compacted into the void using high velocity

1st Stage- Using the high volume Velocity blower, the JETPATCHER easily blows all loose debris from the pothole, cleaning it and preparing the hole for an effective patch

Cleaning Pothole with the jet

2nd  Stage- The JET PATCHER now coats the pot-hole with an asphalt emulsion which seals the pot-hole and prevents further damage from occuring due to moisture.

Coating Polthole with the Jet patcher

3rd Stage- Now aggregate is introduced into the pot-hole.  Using the special JETPATCHER process, the aggregate is mixed with the asphalt emulsion and is then blown onto the pot-hole at high velocity.

Aggregate introduced into pothole

4th Stage- This is the final stage of the JETPATCHER process.  After the pot-hole has been effectively sealed and filled with aggregate / emulsion mix , a light layer of dry aggregate is applied to the patch.  This prevents the patch from adhering to car tires prior to the emulsion fully curing.  Now the patch is ready for traffic.
